It was a podium-filled weekend at the Autodrom Most in the Czech Republic as former five-time MotoAmerica Superbike race winner and championship runner-up Danilo Petrucci put his Barni Spark Racing Team Ducati Panigale V4 R on the box in the Superpole sprint race and both of the weekend’s 22-lap feature races.

Everything came up “three’s” for Petrux in Chechia as the rider of the number nine Ducati also qualified third in Saturday’s Superpole session. The Handyman’s three-race podium sweep also puts him in third place overall in the 2025 FIM Superbike World Championship points standings after four rounds of the season have been completed.

“A truly extraordinary weekend,” commented Petrucci. “Yesterday’s race was a bit easier, but this morning I realized how fast Sam Lowes really was. I struggled more today, but when Sam made a mistake in Turn 2 during Race 2, I took my chance right away. We’ve been consistently third, and now we are third in the championship, as well. We’re an independent team battling against factory squads, and we can be proud of that. We still have work to do to understand where we can improve, but I’m really happy with what we’ve achieved.”

Petrucci’s Barni Spark Racing Team is now third in the team standings behind the Ducati Aruba factory team and the ROKiT BMW Motorrad Team.
