The penultimate round of the CIV (Italian National Championship) Aprilia RS 660 Trophy Cup Championship is taking place this weekend at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari (Imola Circuit). Former MotoAmerica Junior Cup and Mission Mini Cup rider Jayden Fernandez arrives in Imola after completing an intense training regimen in Spain alongside close friend and also former MotoAmerica rider Rossi Moor (Moto2, JuniorGP). The pair of Team MMR riders have been sharpening both their speed and racecraft for the decisive round this weekend.

Mathematically, the path is clear for Fernandez. If he outscores title rivals Mattei Alessio (also a Team MMR rider) and Virone Mattia, who are both from Italy, and Valentin Arnaud Gelly, who is from France, by 18 points across the two races this weekend at Imola, he will be crowned 2025 CIV Aprilia RS 660 Trophy Cup Champion in the PRO class.
Despite the mathematical possibility, Fernandez’s mind is focused on the two races themselves and not the Championship.
“I know there’s a scenario where I can clinch it this weekend, but I’m not thinking about that,” Fernandez said. “I’ll approach Imola the same way I always do—stay focused, keep it calm, and improve session by session. Imola is completely new to me, so I also need to learn its secrets quickly. I’m confident that, with Team MMR, we’ll do a great job.”
