Former MotoAmerica rider Rossi Moor made his debut this weekend with Cardoso Racing in the FIM JuniorGP Moto2 Championship at Misano World Circuit “Marco Simoncelli” in Italy.
Despite having to adapt to the different methods, dynamics, and ways of working that invariably happens when a rider switches teams, Moor consistently improved his lap times from the very first free practice through to Qualifying 2 as he and his new team fine-tuned the setup of the Cardoso Racing Kalex.
Misano was a new track for Moor, and he also had a fever of more than 100 degrees on race day, but he pushed through the challenges.

On the opening lap, several riders crashed right in front of him in Turn 2. Moor was forced to brake hard and take evasive action, which cost him 11 seconds compared with the riders who managed to escape the chaos. Despite the incident, Moor finished 14th out of 28 riders. His race pace matched the lap times of the group fighting for 7th and 8th positions, which suggested that he could have had a top-10 finish if he hadn’t been balked by the first-lap incident.
Moor’s next challenge will be the penultimate round of the JuniorGP Moto2 Championship in Barcelona during the first week of November, where the American rider will be eager to continue his progress with Cardoso Racing.
