Harrison Voight To Substitute For Dominic Doyle At Liberty St. Yamaha Racing At COTA

MARIETTA, GA – September 10, 2026 – Liberty St. Yamaha Racing is pleased to announce that Harrison Voight, the reigning 2026 Australian Superbike champion, will step in as a fill-in rider for Dominic Doyle aboard the team’s Yamaha YZF-R9 at Round 9 of the MotoAmerica Supersport Championship this weekend at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas. 

Doyle has been sidelined since sustaining an injury earlier this season at Mid-Ohio. Although he has worked diligently toward returning to competition, his recovery is not yet complete. The team’s priority remains Dominic’s health and ensuring that he has the time necessary to fully recover before returning to the track.

Voight brings considerable experience, speed and championship-winning credentials to the Liberty St. Yamaha Racing effort. Fresh from securing the 2026 Australian Superbike Championship, he will take on the challenge of racing the Yamaha YZF-R9 in the highly competitive Next Gen Supersport field as the team continues its 2026 campaign. Voight will also be joined by his former crew chief, Jamie Stauffer, who will support him as he transitions to the Liberty St. Yamaha Racing program.

Winning the Australian Superbike Championship has been a huge achievement, and I’m excited to bring that momentum to the team. Having Jamie Stauffer with me will also help make the transition as smooth as possible. We know how to work together, and I’m looking forward to getting comfortable on the R9 and going racing.”

For Liberty St. Yamaha Racing, bringing Voight and Stauffer on board provides an opportunity to remain competitive while continuing to support Doyle during his recovery.

“We’re obviously disappointed that Dominic isn’t able to return yet, but his health comes first,” said Chuck Giacchetto. “We’re excited to have Harrison on board, and having Jamie with him adds valuable experience and continuity to the program. Harrison is a talented rider, he knows how to race, and winning the Australian Superbike Championship demonstrates the level of performance he brings to our team. We’re looking forward to seeing what they can do on the R9.”

The team will work closely with Voight and Stauffer in preparation for the upcoming round, with the goal of getting Harrison comfortable with the bike and integrating Jamie into the Liberty St. Yamaha Racing operation as quickly as possible.

While Voight takes over riding duties, the entire Liberty St. Yamaha Racing organization continues to support Dominic and looks forward to seeing him back at the track when he is fully recovered.
