Josh Herrin will ride a BMW for Scheibe Racing in the 2020 MotoAmerica Superbike Series.

The following is from Scheibe Racing…

Scheibe Racing is pleased to announce that Josh Herrin will be the team’s rider competing in the 2020 MotoAmerica Superbike Championship. Herrin is a fan favorite who is no stranger to the podium with two visits to the top step in 2019, along with two third place finishes completing the season in fifth place. The 2013 AMA Superbike Championship title holder also fought his way to a Daytona 200 win in 2010.

Herrin is enthusiastic about the upcoming season.

“When I heard the news about Yoshimura, Scheibe Racing was the first team I reached out to. They’re a very professional team that wants to win as much as I do. I’d like to thank Steve and the entire Scheibe Racing team for putting their trust in me. I’d also like to thank all of my amazing fans for showing their support on social media during the off season! I love being the underdog and having fans like you guys adds fuel to my fire! Let’s get it!”

The team is looking forward to helping Herrin get on the podium again in Superbike on a new marque with the BMW S 1000 RR. He’ll have a chance to get acquainted with the machine at an upcoming test at Barber Motorsports Park before the first race at Circuit of the Americas during the MotoGP weekend April 3-5, 2020 in Austin, Texas.

Scheibe Racing, founded by Steve Scheibe in 2001, is a MotoAmerica Superbike team competing on a BMW S 1000 RR sponsored by: VP Racing Lubricants, Hayes Brakes, Akrapovic, Renthal Chainwheels, Regina Chains, and NGK Spark Plugs.
