Pacific Northwest rider Mallory Dobbs, who hails from Olympia, Washington, and competed in both MotoAmerica Supersport and the Mission Super Hooligan National Championship this past season, has joined the Sekhmet International Motorcycle Racing Team for the 2024 season where she will compete in the brand-new FIM Women’s Motorcycling World Championship. The announcement was made by Maddi Patterson, team owner of Sekhmet Racing.

“Sekhmet, an Egyptian Deity, was born from fire – a symbol of strength and resilience,” Patterson said. “And therein lies the reason for the team name. I endured and recovered from sixty percent burns to my body only three years ago. Sekhmet is known as the protector of friends and the leader in battle – something I embrace in my own life. I am incredibly honored, excited, and aware that my role is to lead my team and more than that, support, inspire and create the chance to do something different. To be the difference. And when the visor goes down, nothing else matters. This is racing.”

Dobbs’s teammate for the 2024 FIM Women’s Motorcycle World Championship is British rider Lissy Whitmore. Both riders will compete aboard identically prepared Yamaha YZF-R7s, which are the designated motorcycles for the spec racing series.

The 2024 FIM Women’s Motorcycling World Championship will include six rounds and one preseason test, all integrated within the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship.

1. Emilia Romagna Round, Misano World Circuit “Marco Simoncelli” – June 14-16
2. UK Round, Donington Park Circuit – July 12-14
3. Portuguese Round, Autodromo Internacional do Algarve – August 9-11
4. Hungarian Round, Balaton Park Circuit – August 23-25

6. Spanish Round, Circuito de Jerez-Angel Nieto – October 18-20

During each round, the schedule will include Superpole on Friday, Race 1 on Saturday, and Race 2 on Sunday.
