MotoAmerica Twins Cup rider Max Toth qualified on pole today for Sunday’s Aprilia Racing RS 660 Trofeo race at Autodromo Vallelunga in Campagnano di Roma, Italy. The 16-year-old Californian was quickest in both of today’s qualifying sessions, and his overall fastest lap time of 1:45.749, set in Q1, was a tenth of a second quicker than runner-up qualifier and Italian rider Guiseppe De Gruttola.

Toth’s Robem Engineering teammates Ben Gloddy and Teagg Hobbs, also MotoAmerica Twins Cup riders, qualified seventh and eighth, respectively. Hobbs suffered a crash in the second qualifying session, but he was not seriously injured and will be able to start tomorrow’s race.

2021 MotoAmerica Twins Cup Champion Kaleb De Keyrel, who is competing for Veloce Racing in MotoAmerica Twins Cup this season, qualified his Aprilia RS 660 in ninth, just under three-tenths of a second off Hobbs’ quickest lap in seventh position and a little over one and a half seconds in arrears of Toth’s pole-setting lap.

Sunday’s race, held in conjunction with the Italian CIV Championship, will go green at 11:25 a.m. local time. For live timing and streaming of the event, go to https://www.civ.tv
