Both Americans finished in the points today in the Motoi2 Grand Prix of Aragon with Italtrans Racing’s Joe Roberts and American Racing’s Cameron Beaubier battling to the end to finish 13th and 14th, respectively, on Sunday in Spain.

At the end of the Grand Prix, it was Roberts taking the top American spot as he beat Beaubier to the finish line by three seconds for 13th place. Beaubier, in turn, had a tick over a second in hand over SKY Racing Team VR46’s Celestino Vietti.

The race was won today by Red Bull KTM Ajo’s Raul Fernandez over his teammate and World Championship points leader Remy Gardner. Elf Marc VDS Racing Team’s Augusto Fernandez rounded out the podium.

Gardner now leads Raul Fernandez by 39 points in the Moto2 World Championship. Roberts is 12th in the World Championship with 59 points; Beaubier is 17th with 28 points.
