Blake Davis

Blake Davis returns to the MotoAmerica Supersport Championship in 2026 as a title favorite, continuing his powerhouse partnership with Strack Racing aboard the factory-supported Yamaha YZF-R9. After a standout 2025 campaign, Davis has firmly established himself as one of the riders to beat in the premier middleweight category.

The 2025 season saw Davis master the R9 platform, finishing 3rd overall in a highly competitive field. His consistency was remarkable, racking up 10 podium finishes and three race wins. The highlight of his year was a dominant weekend sweep at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, proving he has the pace to control a race from the front.

Since earning the 2019 Nicky Hayden AMA Road Race Horizon Award, Davis’s trajectory has been meteoric. A two-time Twins Cup Champion (2022, 2023), he has successfully transitioned his technical expertise and “calculated-aggressive” style to the Supersport ranks. With two consecutive third-place championship finishes in the class, the Virginia native enters 2026 with a singular focus: adding a third MotoAmerica title to his resume.

Little Known Fact: Blake says Scott Russell was a racing hero even though Scott earned his major racing accomplishments well before Blake was born. Blake started racing motocross when he was four and switched over to Supermoto minibikes when he was six. Blake’s dad, Mike Davis, in addition to racing along the East Coast on an amateur basis, served as a crew chief for several teams in MotoAmerica.

2025 – Finished 3rd in MotoAmerica Supersport on the Strack Racing Yamaha R9. Earned 10 podium finishes, which included three wins highlighted by a Supersport weekend double at Laguna Seca.  2024 – Finished third in MotoAmerica Supersport racing for N2 Racing/BobbleHeadMoto on a Yamaha R6. Earned 7 podiums, including taking a victory in New Jersey. 2023 – Won his second-consecutive MotoAmerica Twins Cup Championship riding an N2 Racing/BobbleHeadMoto Yamaha YZF-R7. Scored nine Twins Cup podium finishes, including three wins. On weekends when there were no Twins Cup races, he transitioned into MotoAmerica Supersport and earned three top-10 finishes, with a best of 7th at Road America. Was ranked 19th in Supersport based on that limited schedule. Raced a N2 Racing/BobbleHeadMoto Yamaha YZF-R6 in Supersport. 2022 – Won the MotoAmerica Twins Cup Championship riding an N2 Racing/BobbleHeadMoto Yamaha YZF-R7. Earned six podium finishes including three wins (Daytona, Pittsburgh and New Jersey). 2021 – Finished sixth in Junior Cup with three top-five finishes. Best result was fourth at Road America. Raced for N2 Racing on a Yamaha. 2020 – Placed ninth in Junior Cup after making his debut five rounds into the series. Best race finish was sixth (three times). 2019 – Was named Nicky Hayden AMA Road Race Horizon Award winner. Won two WERA national championships and seven WERA regional titles. 2018 – Won the AMA Youth Road Racer of the Year award. Won AMA 300 Superstock Grand Championship, won three WERA National Challenge Championships, won 13 WERA Sportsman Regional Championships, won 41 of 60 WERA races started. 2017 – Won three WERA Sportsman Regional Championships.
