Transitioning from a standout amateur dirt career, Colton Shafer makes his road racing debut in the 2026 MotoAmerica Talent Cup aboard a DCR/Motion Pro machine. A versatile athlete with roots in motocross and speedway, Shafer is most notably a multi-time AMA Amateur Flat Track National Champion. While 2026 marks his first season on the pavement, his elite bike control and championship pedigree make him a highly anticipated addition to the road racing paddock this year.
Little Known Fact: Colton raced both motocross, speedway and flat track as he was coming up and qualified for the national championships in motocross. Won multiple AMA amateur national championships in flat track. Also enjoys basketball and fishing. Calls Dallas Daniels the rider he most admires. Colton’s dad was a freestyle motocross rider.
