Cory West

Cory West returns to the Saddlemen Race Development squad for 2026, continuing his role as a cornerstone of Harley-Davidson’s competitive efforts. A seasoned veteran whose professional career spans over two decades, West will once again pull double duty, contesting both the Mission Super Hooligan and Mission King of the Baggers series.

Coming off a 2025 season that reinforced his reputation for grit and consistency, West secured a third-place overall finish in the Super Hooligan championship. His campaign was highlighted by six podium appearances, including standout victories at the high-speed Daytona International Speedway and the technical Ridge Motorsports Park. In the King of the Baggers category, West battled to a top-10 championship ranking, delivering nine top-10 finishes and showcasing his trademark adaptability on the heavyweight machines.

The Arkansas native first rose to prominence as the 2004 AMA Superbike Rookie of the Year and has since evolved into one of the paddock’s most respected technical riders. Since joining the Bagger and Hooligan ranks in 2022, the 2024 Super Hooligan Champion has proven he remains a perennial podium threat. As he enters 2026, West’s deep experience and “Saddlemen” partnership make him a vital asset in Harley-Davidson’s quest for American V-Twin supremacy.

Little Known Fact: Cory runs a dual-sport motorcycle touring service called Froggy’s Moto Tours. His dad Denton West raced AMA Superbike and Battle of the Twins back in the 1980s. Cory made one of the most spectacular passes in American road racing history in 2010 when he went from sixth to first braking for turn 10 at Road Atlanta in the AMA Pro Daytona SportBike race. Cory has raced internationally. He won two rounds of the Chinese Superbike Series in 2015 and contested the Spanish Supersport Series in 2003. Married to fellow racer Patricia Fernandez.

2025 – Finished third in Mission Super Hooligans riding for Saddlemen Race Development Harley-Davidson. Scored six Hooligans podiums, including victories at Daytona and The Ridge. Ranked 10th in Mission King of the Baggers riding for Saddlemen Race Development Harley-Davidson. Scored nine top-10 finishes. Best result was sixth (three times). 2024 – Won the Super Hooligan series taking podium finishes in all but one round of the series, nine in all, including three wins on the season. Scored 15 top-10 finishes in King Of The Baggers Championship with a best result of fifth (twice). Ranked 8th in King of Baggers. 2023 – Finished 10th in the King of the Baggers Series earning three top-5 finishes. Best result was fourth (twice). Raced for Saddlemen Harley-Davidson. Ranked sixth in the Super Hooligan Series where he scored two podium finishes. Best finish was second at the Ridge. Raced a Team Saddlemen Harley-Davidson Pan America in the Hooligans Series. 2022 – Finished 11th in the King of the Baggers Series where he scored three top-10 finishes and a best of fifth at Brainerd aboard a Saddlemen/Lloyd’z Garage Indian Chieftain. Won a round of the Super Hooligans Series that ran during the MotoAmerica weekend at Road Atlanta aboard a Saddlemen/Lloyd’z Garage Indian FTR1200. 2021 – Raced a Saddlemen Harley-Davidson at the Laguna Seca King Of The Baggers round but suffered a DNF. 2020 – Finished fifth in the inaugural MotoAmerica King Of The Baggers event at Laguna Seca riding a SlyFox Performance Harley-Davidson. 2019 – Raced in the Daytona 200, qualified 13th, but suffered a DNF in the race. Credited with a 48th-place finish. 2018 – Raced the first four rounds of MotoAmerica Supersport with M4 ECSTAR Suzuki as a fill-in rider for the injured Valentin Debise. He was third in the series when Debise returned. West continued in Supersport with TSE Racing on a Yamaha, but after struggling to get consistent results with the team, he left the series with three rounds remaining. Cory still finished eighth in Supersport and earned three podium finishes (all thirds). Finished second in the Daytona 200. 2017 – Was runner-up in the Daytona 200. 2016 – Focused on contingency races in club events. 2015 – Won the opening two rounds of China’s Pan Delta Superbike Series on an EBR 1190RS, then EBR ceased operations leaving Cory without a ride. 2014 – Finished seventh in AMA Pro SuperBike riding for Team AMSOIL Hero EBR. Best result was fifth at Barber Motorsports Park. 2013 – Raced a Motosport.com EBR1190RS to 12th in AMA Pro SuperBike. Earned five top-10 finishes, best was fourth in the season finale at Laguna Seca II. 2012 – Raced AMA Pro Daytona SportBike, finishing 10th in the point standings while earning two top-five finishes. Raced for Rider’s Discount Vesrah Suzuki. 2011 – Ranked fifth in AMA Pro Daytona SportBike and scored three podiums. Best result was second (twice). Raced for Vesrah Suzuki. 2010 – Ranked sixth in Daytona SportBike with a pair of podium finishes. Best result was second at Road Atlanta. Raced for Vesrah Suzuki. 2009 – Raced just two rounds of AMA Pro Racing SuperBike with Erik Buell Racing with a best result of seventh at New Jersey Motorsports Park. Ranked 27th. 2008 – Raced with Team M4 Suzuki in AMA Supersport and Formula Xtreme. Finished seventh in Supersport with one podium finish (Utah). Raced just three rounds of Formula Xtreme and scored a best result of fourth at Sonoma. Ranked 17th in Formula Xtreme. Raced with M4 Suzuki. 2007 – Raced AMA Formula Xtreme and Supersport with Team Hunter. Ranked ninth in FX and 15th in Supersport. Scored seven top-10 finishes in FX and four top-10 finishes in Supersport. 2006 – Raced with Hotbodies Suzuki in AMA Superbike and Superstock. Ranked 16th in Superstock and 19th in Superbike. 2005 – Raced AMA Superbike with Hotbodies Suzuki and scored one top-10 finish (10th) at VIR. Ranked 15th. 2004 – Won the AMA Superbike Rookie of the Year Award. Raced with Bridgestone Suzuki. Best result was 13th (twice). Ranked 13th. 2003 – Raced Supersport in the Spanish Championships. 2002 – Raced a limited AMA 250 Grand Prix Championship schedule. Best result was 11th (twice). Ranked 20th. 2001 – Made his pro racing debut at the age of 16 in the AMA 250 Grand Prix class. Ranked 10th in the series after earning four top-10 finishes. Best result was eighth at Road America.
