Hawk Mazzotta remains one of the most resilient and respected figures in the MotoAmerica paddock, entering the 2026 Mission Super Hooligan National Championship with the powerhouse Trackhouse/Hawk Mazzotta Moto Camp/BluCru team. Campaigning the Yamaha MT-09, Mazzotta brings a signature “no-nonsense” riding style to the grid, backed by decades of experience that bridge the gap between racing’s golden eras and its modern evolution.

The 2025 season saw Mazzotta maintain his reputation for remarkable consistency. Competing for Strack Racing, he secured 10th in the overall Super Hooligan standings, bolstered by seven top-10 finishes and a season-best sixth-place result at the high-speed Daytona International Speedway. This followed a standout 2024 campaign where he finished seventh in the championship, notably placing inside the top 10 at every single round.

Mazzotta’s career is a testament to longevity; after a professional tenure spanning from 1999 to 2010, he returned from a 12-year hiatus in 2022 to immediately challenge for lead positions. Off the track, he shares his veteran expertise through the Hawk Mazzotta Moto Camp, mentoring the next generation of riders while continuing to prove that grit and technical precision are timeless assets in professional racing.

Little Known Fact: Hawk Mazzotta is a general builder, owns and operates Hawk Mazzotta Moto Camp and is also a private contractor who operates fire-fighting equipment. While the camp teaches all ages of riders, it’s become popular for parents to bring their kids to learn how to ride and then serve as an avenue for the kids to move into racing if they show an interest. Hawk grew up on a cattle ranch and once competed in bull riding. His father was into falconry and raised a red-tailed hawk, so when his son was born, they decided to name him Hawk. He got into road racing when former AMA road racing star Al Salaverria gave him a two-up ride during a track day. Hawk was mentored by Al and coached by Freddie Spencer and Jason Pridmore. He also auto raced briefly in CART/Toyota Atlantic.

2025 – Finished 10th in Super Hooligans riding for Strack Racing on a Yamaha. Scored seven top-10 finishes with a best showing of 6th at Daytona. 2024 – Finished in the top-10 in every round of Super Hooligan with a best finish of fourth at The Ridge. Ranked 7th in the series riding a Roland Sands Design Indian FTR1200.2023 – Raced select rounds of the King Of The Baggers and scored a best finish of 6th at Daytona. Ranked 14th in Baggers racing a Lloyds Garage Indian. Raced select rounds of Super Hooligan on a Lloydz Garage Indian. Best finish was 10th at Daytona. Ranked 27th in Super Hooligan. 2022 – Raced an Indian Motorcycle Charlotte/Lloydz Garage Indian Chieftain in MotoAmerica King Of The Baggers. Best result was a seventh at Daytona. Finished ranked 17th in the championship. 2021 – Raced a Bagger Racing League event at Sonoma Raceway. 2010 – Raced the Laguna Seca round of AMA Pro SuperBike and finished 15th. Ranked 42nd. 2009 – Raced AMA Pro SuperBike and finished 17th-ranked with a best finish of 13th (four times). Competed aboard an Aussie Dave Racing Suzuki. Raced one round of AMA Pro Daytona SportBike (Laguna Seca) and finished 16th. 2008 – Finished 12th in AMA Superstock with four top-10 finishes and a best result of seventh at Daytona. Finished ranked 18th in AMA Pro SuperBike while running a part-time schedule in the class. Best Superbike finish was 11th at VIR. Raced for HALOF Racing Suzuki. 2007 – Finished 23rd in AMA Supersport with three top-20 finishes. Best result was 15th at Road America. Raced a Spectrum Motorsports Yamaha. 2006 – Qualified 28th for the season-ending AMA Formula Xtreme round at Mid-Ohio but did not race. 2003 – Raced AMA Superstock and scored two top-20 finishes with a best of 19th at Brainerd. Ranked 24th. 2000 – Signed to race with Erion Honda but was injured in the first race at Daytona and missed the rest of the season. 1999 – First major road racing accomplishment was finishing third behind John Hopkins and Alex Gobert in the Aprilia Cup Challenge race at Laguna Seca Raceway, which was part of the World Superbike race weekend.
