Jason Waters

Jason Waters’ meteoric rise from novice to professional ranks is one of MotoAmerica’s most impressive timelines. A lifelong motocrosser, Waters transitioned to road racing in 2020, turning expert in just two club events. After proving his pace in the Stock 1000 and Superbike ranks—highlighted by a standout 2025 season where he finished runner-up in the Superbike Cup and 6th in Stock 1000—Waters enters 2026 with a fresh challenge.

This season, Waters joins TopPro Motorsports/Edge Racing for a dual-class assault on Italian machinery. He will contest the Supersport championship aboard a Ducati Panigale V2 while simultaneously chasing the Super Hooligan title on a Ducati Streetfighter V2. After a career-best 7th overall in Hooligans last year, Waters remains a podium threat across multiple disciplines.

Little Known Fact: Jason was a leading youth motocross racer. Injuries kept him from making the leap to pro motocross. Jason owns an HVAC company in Savannah, Georgia, called Edge Air Conditioning & Refrigeration. Jason and his family love to snowboard in the winter and wakeboard in the summer.

2025 – Finished 6th in MotoAmerica Stock 1000 racing an Edge Racing BMW. Finished in the top-10 at every round but one and had a top result of fifth (twice). Finished 13th in MotoAmerica Superbike with three top-10 finishes. Best Superbike result was 9th (twice). Finished runner-up in the Superbike Cup for riders racing Stock 1000 machines in Superbike. He was the top finishing Superbike Cup rider in race one at Road America. Finished 7th in Super Hooligans. Earned nine top-10 Hooligan finishes with a best result of 4th at Road Atlanta. Rode an Edge Racing Triumph in Hooligans. 2024 – Race a few rounds of MotoAmerica Superbike and scored points in two rounds with a best result of 13th at Road Atlanta. Raced an Edge Racing BMW. Finished 12th in Superbike Cup for riders racing Stock 1000 machines in Superbike. Finished 3rd among Superbike Cup bikes at Road Atlanta. Finished 14th in MotoAmerica Stock 1000 in a limited schedule on the strength a pair of top-10 finishes. Best Stock 1000 result was 9th at Road Atlanta. 2023 – Raced the first half of the 2023 season and scored points in Stock 1000 in four rounds. Best finish was 7th at Barber. Ranked 14th in the standings despite not racing half of the year. Finished 13th in his lone Superbike appearance at Barber. Ranked 31st in Superbike based off of that single race finish.  2022 – Raced a limited MotoAmerica Stock 1000 season and finished the year ranked 20th in the standings. Scored championship points in five rounds. Best result came at PittRace where he finished ninth. Raced an Edge Racing Honda CBR1000RR-R SP. Ran a few Superbike races and top result was 22nd at Road America. 2021 – A solid rookie season in MotoAmerica, Jason finished 15th in Stock 1000 and earned a pair of top-10 finishes. Best result was eighth at Road Atlanta. Racer and team owner of Edge Racing. Raced a BMW. 2020 – Began club road racing for fun and was bumped up to expert after two events. He was winning expert club races by the end of the season and was encouraged to go pro.
