Kayla Yaakov

Kayla Yaakov enters the 2026 MotoAmerica Supersport season as a history-maker, fresh off a monumental achievement at the 84th Daytona 200. In March 2026, Yaakov became the first woman ever to stand on the podium of the prestigious race, securing a thrilling third-place finish aboard her Rahal Ducati Moto Panigale V2. This landmark performance, achieved during Women’s History Month, further solidifies her status as one of the most elite talents in the paddock.

Following a successful 2025 campaign where she finished sixth in the Supersport championship with eight top-five finishes, Yaakov returns to the Rahal Ducati Moto squad with a new primary sponsor, Droplight. Her 2025 season was marked by incredible consistency and a growing reputation for tactical racecraft, including a notable fourth-place finish at the Circuit of The Americas.

From being the first female national race winner in MotoAmerica history to her current role as the sole female competitor in the Supersport class, the 18-year-old Gettysburg native continues to shatter ceilings. With the 2026 season underway and a historic Daytona podium already in the books, Yaakov has her sights set on a maiden Supersport victory and a top-three finish in the overall championship.

Little Known Fact: Kayla was named AMA Novice Road Racer of the Year in 2019 and AMA Youth Road Racer of the Year in 2017. In addition to racing domestically in MotoAmerica, Kayla also raced overseas in the FIM Yamaha R3 bLU cRU European SuperFinale.

2025 – Finished 6th in her second full season of MotoAmerica Supersport. Scored 8 top-five finishes with a best of 4th (twice). 2024 – Finished 7th in here first full season in MotoAmerica Supersport. Earned a pair of podium finishes at Ridge with 2nd being her top result of the year. Raced for Rahal Ducati Moto/XPEL aboard a Ducati Panigale V2. 2023 – After major success in Junior Cup, Kayla moved up to race in MotoAmerica Twins Cup. She finished 7th in the final standings and earned two podium finishes, including a runner-up finish at Barber. She capped off a remarkable season by racing MotoAmerica Supersport in the MotoAmerica finale at New Jersey Motorsports Park and rode to a remarkable third-place finish in race one. Raced for the The WagBar MP13 Racing Team Yamaha YZF-R7 in Twins Cup. Raced a Tytlers Cycle Racing Kawasaki ZX-6R in the MotoAmerica Supersport finale.  2022 – Won four races in MotoAmerica Junior Cup and a total of 11 podiums en route to a third-place overall finish. It was a remarkable campaign in her first full season of MotoAmerica competition. She raced for Altus Motorsports on a Kawasaki Ninja 400. Scored a podium on the international stage, finishing second in the FIM Yamaha R3 bLU cRU European SuperFinale in Portugal during a Superbike World Championship weekend. 2021 – Entering the series at Ridge Motorsports Park mid-season, Kayla was a consistent top-10 finisher in Junior Cup. Her results improved as the season progressed highlighted by her runner-up finish at Barber Motorsports Park giving her a podium in her rookie campaign. Rode for BARTCON Racing on a Kawasaki. Also raced in the FIM Yamaha R3 bLU cRU European Cup where she finished ranked 19th. 2020 – Finished third in the MotoAmerica Mini Cup 190 Championship (two podium finishes in three races), won Lightweight Twins Superbike Expert AMA Grand Championship, won three WERA Sportsman National Championships, won seven WERA Sportsman Regional Championships (won 31 WERA races). 2019 – Won Lightweight Twins Superbike Expert AMA Grand Championship, won three WERA Sportsman Series Regional Championships (won 38 WERA races). 2018 – Named AMA Novice Road Racer of the Year, won two AMA Road Race Grand National Championships, won five WERA Sportsman National Championships, won four WERA Sportsman Regional Championships, won ASRA Moto3 (Combined) National race, 41 WERA race wins; 2017 – Named AMA Youth Road Racer of the Year, won three WERA Sportsman National Championships, won five WERA Sportsman Regional Championships (won 37 WERA races).
