Following a standout debut, Australian sensation Sam Drane returns to the paddock for 2026, continuing his partnership with the powerhouse Yamaha bLU cRU Estenson Racing squad. After transitioning from a decorated amateur flat track background to the tarmac, Drane proved his road racing mettle immediately during his 2025 rookie campaign. He secured third overall in the MotoAmerica Talent Cup, amassing nine podium finishes and a signature victory at Road America.
This season, Drane takes on a formidable dual-class schedule, competing in both the Talent Cup and the Twins Cup. Known for his technical adaptability and aggressive race craft, the young Aussie is no longer just a rookie to watch—he is a legitimate title favorite poised to bring Yamaha to the front of the field across two categories.
Little Known Fact: Sam’s older brother Tom Drane is one of the leading riders in American Flat Track. Has always looked up to MotoGP racer Marc Marquez, the Hayden brothers and Jack Miller. Bass fishing his favorite hobby.
