Tyler O’Hara

A titan of the MotoAmerica Mission King of the Baggers series, Tyler O’Hara enters the 2026 season with a fresh perspective and a new home. This year, O’Hara brings his championship-winning pedigree to SDI Racing, where he will pilot the formidable Indian Challenger in a quest to reclaim the throne.

O’Hara’s 2025 campaign further solidified his status as a perennial threat. Competing for the S&S/Indian Motorcycle team, he secured fifth overall in the championship standings, highlighted by three podium finishes, including a season-best second-place result at Mid-Ohio. This consistency follows a historic 2022 season where O’Hara became a double champion, capturing both the King of the Baggers and Super Hooligan titles.

Known as one of the most versatile athletes in American motorcycle racing, the California native has excelled in everything from the Harley-Davidson XR1200 series to factory flat track efforts. Beyond his on-track intensity, Tyler remains deeply committed to the sport’s future, he’s hosted Mission Mini Cup Qualifiers to mentor the next generation of talent. Armed with a new team and his signature “all-out” riding style, O’Hara is primed to be a dominant force in the 2026 title hunt.

Little Known Fact: Tyler is a USMCA certified riding coach and has taught many riders with one-on-one instruction. His first race was at the age of five, a kid’s race at San Francisco’s Cow Palace during an Arenacross event. Grew up racing motocross, flat track, off-road and Supermoto before getting into road racing. Tyler set a class Land Speed Record in 2025 aboard an S&S/Indian Challenger. Running in the AMA 2000cc APS-AG class, O’Hara set a new record of 194.384 mph, an average of his two official runs of 192, followed by a 196 mph pass.

2025 – Finished fifth in Mission King of the Baggers riding for S&S/Indian Motorcycle. Scored three podium finishes with a best of 2nd at Mid-Ohio. 2024 – Scored six podium results in King Of The Baggers competition. Best result was second (twice. Ranked 5th in the series. Raced for Indian Motorcycle/Progressive/Mission Foods. 2023 – Scored five podium finishes in King of the Baggers with a best result of second (three times) and finished fifth in the series standings. Raced the Indian Motorcycle/Progressive/Mission Foods Indian Challenger. Won the Super Hooligan Series on the strength of five wins in the eight rounds. Six podiums all together. Raced an Indian FTR1200 for Indian Motorcycle/Progressive/Mission Foods. 2022 – Scored five King of the Baggers podiums, including taking a victory in the series opener at Daytona. Went on to win the 2022 King of the Baggers Championship. It marked his first career championship. Raced for Mission Foods S&S Cycle on an Indian Challenger. Won the Super Hooligans Championship, winning at Road Atlanta and Laguna Seca. 2021 – Finished on the podium in two out of the three King of the Baggers Championship, including taking the win in the opening round at Road Atlanta. Finished runner up in the series. Race for Mission Foods S&S Cycle Indian Challenger. 2020 – Won the King of the Baggers debut event at Laguna Seca on his S&S Indian Challenger. 2019 – Raced just the Sonoma round of MotoAmerica Supersport and scored a DNF/11th. The lone finish placed him 28th in the final standings. 2017 – Finished tenth in MotoAmerica Superstock 1000 racing a limited West Coast schedule. Scored six top-10 finishes with a best of sixth in round 13 at Sonoma. Raced a Kawasaki ZX-10R for TOR Deehan BBJK. 2015 – Finished fifth in MotoAmerica Superstock 1000. Scored four podium finishes. Best result was second (twice, in the Road Atlanta rounds). Raced his self-sponsored Yamaha R1. 2014 – Finished third in the Harley-Davidson XR1200 Series. Took three podium finishes, including two wins (Daytona and Mid-Ohio). Raced for Bartels Harley-Davidson. 2013 – Finished runner-up to Steve Rapp in the Harley-Davidson XR1200 Series. Was on the podium in seven of the nine rounds and took a victory in the opening round at Daytona. 2012 – Finished third in the AMA Pro Harley-Davidson XR1200 Championship with four wins and ten podium finishes. Raced for Bartel’s Harley-Davidson. 2011 – Successfully contested both Daytona SportBike and the Vance & Hines XR1200 Series, earning seven top-10 results in DSB and three podiums in XR1200 including his breakout AMA Pro victory in Race 1 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Raced for GP Bike Parts Racing in DSB and Tyler O’Hara Racing in XR1200. 2010 – Earned the AMA Pro SuperSport Top Gun Award and turned in two third-place finishes at Infineon in his seven starts in 2010. Rode for GP Bike Parts Racing. Also finished third overall in AFM points. 2009 – Won the AMA Open Intermediate Supermoto Championship. 2008 – Won the STTARS Supermoto 85/150 Championship and finished third overall in the STTARS Supermoto Lites 250 Expert class.
