Americans Joe Roberts and Cameron Beaubier suffered through a difficult Grand Prix of Catalunya today, the pair finishing 10th and 19th, respectively, after a hard-fought race in Spain.

Italtrans Racing’s Roberts ended up 10th – seven spots better than where he qualified – after getting the best of a battle with MB Conveyors Speed Up’s Jorge Navarro in the closing laps.

Beaubier, meanwhile, managed to finish 19th after qualifying 28th. Beaubier was in a race-long fight with Petronas Sprinta Racing’s Jake Dixon and NTS RW Racing GP’s Hafizh Syahrin. In the end, he was beaten by Dixon, but came out on top of the tussle with Syahrin.

The MotoGP race was won today by Moto2 World Championship points leader Remy Gardner over his teammate Raul Fernandez. Petronas Sprinta Racing’s Xavi Vierge rounded out the podium.

Gardner now leads Fernandez by 11 points, 139-128. Marco Bezzecchi, fourth today, is third with 101 points.
