Young Racers From Across North America Ready To Battle For Titles At MotoAmerica Mission Mini Cup National Finals

The MotoAmerica Mission Mini Cup National Final returns to Road America’s Briggs & Stratton Motorplex in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin this weekend, August 7-9.

The MotoAmerica Mission Mini Cup National Final is the season-ending showcase of MotoAmerica’s grassroots youth development program, bringing together the top young racers, ages six to 16, from qualifying rounds held across North America throughout the year. This season, riders punched their tickets to Road America through qualifiers hosted by 10 different mini moto organizations:

  • Ohvale USA – Southern California 
  • Hawk Mazzotta Moto Camp – Northern California 
  • Rocky Mountain Mini Moto – Colorado
  • Utah SuperBike – Utah 
  • Texas Mini Cup – Texas 
  • Ohio Mini Roadracing League – Ohio
  • South Florida MiniGP (SFLMiniGP) – Florida  
  • Cory Texter Promotions – Florida
  • ASRA/New Jersey Mini GP– Pennsylvania/New Jersey
  • MiniSBK – Ontario, Canada

Riders who competed in any of these qualifiers earned a one-time, 10-point bonus toward their finishing order at the National Final, giving racers from coast to coast — and north of the border — extra incentive to arrive at Road America ready to race for a title.

Mission Mini Cup serves as the official youth development ladder of MotoAmerica and a proving ground for the sport’s next generation of professional talent, competing across five classes: Stock 50 (ages 6-8), Stock 110 (ages 8-12), GP 110 (ages 10-14), GP 160 (ages 10-14) and GP 190 (ages 12-16).

In all, 53 riders are entered across the five classes this weekend, representing 19 U.S. states as well as Canadian riders making the trip south for a shot at a national title.

“Every year it’s incredible to see how much this program has grown,” said MotoAmerica COO Chuck Aksland. “First, I’d like to thank all of the clubs that participated in the MotoAmerica Mission Mini Cup Qualifier Series. Together, they hosted 18 qualifying events throughout the year, and their commitment to developing young riders and providing opportunities to compete is what makes this program possible. We’ve got young racers coming to Road America from all over the country, along with some international entries again this year. Watching these kids line up on the grid, knowing some of them could be the next generation of MotoAmerica champions, is what this program is all about. We can’t wait to watch them race this weekend.”

In addition to crowning National Champions, the event carries real career stakes: podium finishers will be considered for the Team Dunlop Road Racing Elite program.
