For eight American road racers, their team manager, and their small entourage of family and friends, their Thanksgiving Day was filled with track familiarization instead of turkey and stuffing as they participated in a track walk around the Circuito de Jerez-Ángel Nieto in Jerez, Spain, along with breaking in their new leathers, gloves, and boots, and working on their race tucks aboard their Yamaha YZF-R3 and YZF-R7 racebikes.

On Friday, Avery Dreher, Mikayla Moore, Max Toth, Matthew Chapin, Hayden Schultz, Mallory Dobbs, Blake Davis, and Andrew Lee will participate in the first practice sessions for this weekend’s 2024 City of Jerez FIM Intercontinental Games.

Enjoy these “postcards” courtesy of Hayden Schultz’s brother Collin Schultz, who is on the ground in Jerez and documenting the event on behalf of the FIM’s North America Continental Union:

Andrew Lee was a last-minute addition to the team, and he’s a good one with lots of international racing experience under his belt.
