Westby Racing bookended its 2021 MotoAmerica season with a win in the first HONOS Superbike race of the season, at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, and a win in the second-to-last HONOS Superbike season, at Barber Motorsports Park in September. In addition, the team ended the season with an 11-race podium streak, and they never dropped below second place in the point standings the entire season. In fact, rider Mathew Scholtz stood on the podium after 16 of the 20 total HONOS Superbike races this season. “Special thanks to Tom Halverson, Assistant Department Manager of Racing at Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A., for his undying support of our program,” commented Chuck Giacchetto, Team Manager for Westby Racing. “Also, a big thank you goes to Richard Stanboli and Attack Performance, as well as to our Team Owner Tryg Westby and the entire Westby Racing Team.”
