Three former MotoAmerica road racers competed in the Spanish ESBK Championship this past weekend at Circuito de Navarra.
American Julián Correa, who recently raced in the 2025 MotoAmerica Parts Unlimited Talent Cup By Motul and also previously competed in MotoAmerica’s Mission Mini Cup Championship, was a wild-card entry in the ESBK SuperSport 300 Championship with Pons Motorsport Italika Racing. The Floridian started from P7 for Race 1 and finished fifth at the checkers, which got him a P3 in the Kawasaki Spirit Cup and his first podium in the ESBK series. In Race 2, Correa matched the lap times of the lead group and missed out on another podium finish by just four milliseconds.
“I’m absolutely thrilled with this result,” Correa said. “The team worked so hard all weekend to give me a great bike, and to reward them with a podium is an amazing feeling. The competition here is incredibly tough, and I learned so much with every lap. This result gives me a lot of confidence.”

In the Spanish Talent Cup, former MotoAmerica Mission Mini Cup National Final Champion Nathan Gouker finished 8th in Race 1 aboard his Frando Honda, while fellow American and former MotoAmerica Mission Mini Cup National Final Champion Mahdi Salem finished 23rd aboard his ETG Racing Honda in Saturday’s Race 1. Gouker’s and Salem’s results improved in Sunday’s Race 2, with Gouker carding a top-five finish, while Salem improved to 15th.

Salem commented, “”Qualifying didn’t go my way, and I ended up 23rd on the starting grid. In Saturday’s race, I just couldn’t find the feeling with the bike, so I was unable to move up, and I finished P23. In Sunday’s race, I had a decent run going and worked my way up to P15, but the race got red-flagged with a couple laps to go. But, overall, I’m happy with my progress.”
