American Julián Correa, who races in the MotoAmerica Parts Unlimited Talent Cup By Motul, traveled to Northern Spain for round four of the ESBK SuperSport 300 Championship at Circuito de Navarra. Correa competed as a wild-card entry for the Pons Motorsport Italika Racing Team and as a teammate of current ESBK SuperSport 300 Championship points leader Daniel Ocete.
Despite a challenging qualifying session, Correa dramatically improved on his P12 starting grid position to finish seventh in Saturday’s race one.
“I knew we had a good race setup, and I was determined to make up for qualifying,” Correa said. “The bike felt strong, and I focused on hitting my marks and being smart with my moves. To finish P7 after starting P12, especially against such a strong field, feels like a real victory.”

In Sunday’s race two, the Floridian improved even more, closed the gap to the lead group significantly, and crossed the finish line in sixth place, one position higher than he finished on Saturday.
“I’m absolutely thrilled with our race two result,” said Correa. “Finishing P6 and being so much closer to the leaders really shows how far we’ve come in just a short time. I’ve learned so much this weekend, and I’m really gelling with the new team and the bike.”
Next up, Correa will forego the MotoAmerica Talent Cup round at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course next weekend in order to race in the British Talent Cup at Brands Hatch in West Kingsdown, Kent, England. He’ll return to the U.S. for the MotoAmerica Talent Cup round on August 1 through 3 at VIRginia International Raceway in Alton, Virginia, and then fly back over to England again for the British Talent Cup round at Thruxton Circuit in Thruxton, Hampshire, England, on August 8 through 10.
