Former MotoAmerica Mini Cup and Junior Cup rider Jayden Fernandez won the 2025 Aprilia Trofeo Pro Championship this past weekend at Mugello Circuit in Italy, completing a dream season in which the Team MMR rider finished on the podium at all seven rounds of the Italian National Championship.

Going into the final race weekend with a 12-point lead over his closest challenger Alessio Mattei, Fernandez qualified second, which put him on the front row of the starting grid for each of the weekend’s two races.
After a fierce, five-rider duel in Race 1, the Coloradan finished as runner-up, capturing his 13th-straight podium result and extending his championship lead to 21 points with one final race of the 2025 season left to go.
In Race 2, Fernandez made the wise decision to avoid any unnecessary risks and manage his position. He crossed the finish line in fourth place, which was the one and only race out of the 14 on the season in which he didn’t finish on the podium. But, it’s exactly what he needed to lock up the Championship and put an exclamation point on his incredible season.
“This title means everything,” Fernandez said. “We set a clear target at round one: be fast every weekend and never leave points on the table. Mugello is special. Today, we finished the job the right way. A huge thank you to the entire Team MMR for the outstanding work all season, and especially to my crew chief Edy, who always gave me a very competitive bike. Thank you to my crew, my family, and everyone who believed in me.”
