It just keeps getting better for two-time MotoAmerica Supersport Champion and four-time Superbike race winner Garrett Gerloff.

After the Kawasaki WorldSBK Team’s lone factory Superbike rider achieved his best result of the season with an 11th-place finish in Saturday’s Race One at the Autodrom Most in the Czech Republic, Gerloff improved again on Sunday with a top-10 finish in Race Two. It was the Texan’s best result yet since joining Team Green for the 2025 FIM Superbike World Championship.

GG31 joined all but two of the 22 racers in skipping the wet Sunday-morning warm-up session, preferring not to risk a possible tipover in weather conditions that the riders weren’t expecting to encounter during the day’s two races. The skies brightened, and Gerloff lined up eighth on the starting grid and in the middle of the third row for the 10-lap Superpole race. With his confidence and competitive spirit peaking, he ended the “sprint” race in 12th place. A decent finish, but the best was yet to come.

Starting Race Two from row four of the grid based on his Superpole race result. the Double-G used a different map for his electronics and found an immediate improvement. He was then able to run lap times similar to some of the frontrunners. Maintaining a strong pace aboard his Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR all race long, he took the checkered flag in 10th for the first time in 2025.

“I think this is our best weekend so far, and at least it is getting better, slowly but surely,” Gerloff said. “I am understanding the bike more, I am feeling more comfortable with it, and we keep discovering all kinds of stuff. I went to a different map today, and it just made the bike so much better, immediately. It is things like that we are learning as a team, and it will take time, but we are going in a good direction. I am excited for the Misano test coming up soon. Maybe I can try some more stuff and make more progress. Thanks to the team because it has been good here in Most. Let’s keep that going.”

With the Czechia round now complete, the 2025 WorldSBK Championship heads to southern Europe and the iconic Misano World Circuit “Marco Simoncelli” where round six will take place on June 13 to 15 at what will be the second “home” round for Gerloff’s Italy-based Kawasaki WorldSBK Team.
