It is with profound sadness that we report on the very untimely passing of Artie Meeker. A mentor, colleague, and most importantly, friend to many in the MotoAmerica paddock, Meeker most recently was a beloved crew member for Rodio Racing, but he also previously worked with rider Anthony Mazziotto at Jimmy Winters Motorsports and also at YCRS/Mazziotto Racing.
A former rider coach and racer in his own right with NJMiniGP, Meeker also competed in the American Superbike Racing Association’s (ASRA) Championship Cup Series (CCS).
Meeker died of a heart attack on Sunday while he was on a woods ride with friends near his home in Whiting, New Jersey. He is survived by his wife Amy and daughter Brooke. He was just 52 years old.
Godspeed, Artie.
